Ryan will perform the sitework for two distinct portions on the 33 acre site. The Landside portion entails the demolition and removal 40,000sy of asphalt and the removal of existing utilities. We will prep and subgrade for a new asphalt entrance to the facility as well as a new 15,000sy customer parking lot with sidewalks, walkways, curbs and gutters. The airside portion will include a sophisticated drainage system with catch basins, exfiltration trench drains, fire lines, hydrants, water main and sewer. We will also lay the base material and compaction for the asphalt access to the tarmac, subgrade and compact the building pad for the massive pre-engineered metal airport hangar, as well as a large asphalt parking lot for the airplanes. We will excavate a retention area lining it with 3,200sy of fabric liner. The most interesting and challenging portion of this project is the advanced environmental protection and fire safety systems required in today’s aviation industry. We are installing a massive 10,000 gallon and 5,000 gallon underground oil and water separator. These systems will help contain and minimize any environmental spills that may occur.
