FDOT SR 9 (I-95) at 6th Avenue South

IMPROVEMENTS

Construction of the I-95 / SR-9 Interchange consisted of adding 1.32 acres of new impervious area within the existing road right-of-way.

SAFETY FIRST

Operational and safety improvements included the turn lane storage on 6th Avenue South, capacity improvements to the east and westbound lanes for the I-95 on-ramps, adding a third westbound lane to 6th Avenue South under the I-95 bridge, and adding lanes to the I-95 Off-ramps.

UTILITIES COMPLETED

Stormwater runoff was redirected to two existing and one modified dry detention ponds (#C16-2, C16-3 and C16.4) designed to provide water quality treatment and attenuation in accordance with district criteria.
